Find EV Charging Stations Near You
LA County Library is excited to be able to offer EV Charging stations at select libraries. Customers will pay $0.30/kWh ($0.45/kWh during peak hours of 4-8 pm). These rates are consistent with other municipalities and less than the cost of a gasoline-equivalent gallon. The purpose of the fee is to cover electricity costs, maintenance costs, and annual networking fees.
PowerFlex chargers require that you use a smartphone app. Customers can download this easy-to-use app to their smartphone and add funds to the mobile wallet using a credit card. The app automatically calculates the necessary plug-in duration and cost to acquire the user’s desired charge level. Watch a video about the app and read the instructions on how to install the PowerFlex app. The App also includes a map of all PowerFlex station locations.
If you would like support on purchasing an electric vehicle, visit the County’s Electrifyze platform. It is a free EV coaching program available to the public. By offering a host of tools such as car models and providing information on incentives, individuals can connect with a free electric car buying coach. The Plug2Power (P2P) Program is aimed to encourage the public to purchase or lease an electric vehicle (EV). P2P offers a $20.00 credit for any PowerFlex Charging Station (available to members of the public).
