LA County Library’s Connect & Go Hotspot Loan Program will be ending on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
The Connect & Go Hotspot Loan program was made possible through federal funding from the American Rescue Plan Act, supporting digital equity initiatives. Unfortunately, due to budget limitations, we are unable to continue offering this service.
To receive a full 6 weeks of data, you must check out a Connect & Go Kit by February 17, 2026.
Please note the following upcoming deadlines:
- February 4, 2026: No new holds will be accepted for Connect & Go Kits.
- February 17, 2026: Kits checked out after this date will not include a full 6 weeks of data.
- March 29, 2026: Final day to check out Connect & Go Kit.

Who can checkout a Connect & Go kit?
Adults with a standard adult library card in good standing will be able to check out a Connect & Go kit at a participating library.
How do I checkout a Connect & Go kit?
Requests for Connect & Go kits can be made using our online catalog or over the phone. Check our online catalog for current availability.
When can I pick up my Connect & Go kit?
You will receive a notice via phone or email when your hold is available. You can sign up for email notices online. To check the status of your holds, log into the online catalog and click on “My account.” You can view and manage your holds by clicking on the “Holds” tab.
The time it takes for your hold to arrive varies depending on the waiting list and where the item is being shipped from.
How long can I keep the Connect & Go kit? Can I renew it?
Connect & Go kits can be borrowed for 6 weeks. If no other customers are on the waiting list, the checkout can be renewed up to 3 times. The renewal needs to be made before your checkout period ends.
How do I return the Connect & Go kit?
Connect & Go kits must be returned in person during operating library hours. Connect & Go kits cannot be returned in the bookdrop.
Are there late fees?
While fees for overdue materials were eliminated as of August 10, 2021, the Library encourages customers to return Connect & Go kits by their due dates. The device will become disabled once the loan period has ended.
Will I be charged if the hotspot is damaged while in my possession?
Yes, fees will depend on the type of damage.
Will library staff teach me how to use the Connect & Go device?
A basic instruction sheet will be provided explaining how to turn on and use the device. If you have further questions, please call your local library location.
