Since 1980, LA County Library’s annual Bookmark Contest has encouraged young people’s artistic expression and love for reading. For our 45th Annual Contest, which launched in Fall 2024, we received more than 10,200 submissions from across Los Angeles County! We were so impressed by everyone’s talent and creativity.

Each of our libraries selected its top local winners for each grade category (K – 2, 3 – 5, 6 – 8, and 9 – 12), with help from library staff and local judges. These local winners were then forwarded to the LA County Board of Supervisors. Each supervisor selected a winning bookmark to represent their district for each category, which are showcased below!

Starting today, you can find printed copies of these bookmarks available at all LA County Library locations.
