Book Lovers Day
Celebrate National Book Lovers Day on Friday, August 9 at LA County Library!
Book Lovers Day, dedicated to celebrating the joy of reading, harnesses all the excitement bibliophiles feel about books into one celebration. We hope you find your favorite reading place, a good book (whether it be fiction or non-fiction), and just read the day away!
LA County Library has always played a vital role in helping people cultivate a love for books. Founded in 1912, It provides dynamic collections, programs, and services to meet the literacy, information, personal enrichment, and entertainment needs of all residents across Los Angeles County. The library also serves as a gathering place for book lovers to connect with fellow enthusiasts through book clubs, author readings, and other events.
