Hygiene Kit Program
What is LA County Library’s Diaper and Hygiene Kit Program?
The cost of diapers can have a significant impact on families with infants and young children. Diapers are essential items that are required on a regular basis and for families with limited resources and affording these products can be challenging.
Diaper and hygiene costs can add up over time with families spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars per year on diapers and wipes for each child. For families living paycheck to paycheck, it can be difficult to consistently afford these products every month.
With support from LA County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis and Baby2Baby, LA County Library
launched a pilot program in October of 2022 providing $25,000 worth of diapers, wipes, and menstrual products.
The pilot program was a hit! Thousands of kits were distributed throughout the county, providing vital help for families in need across Los Angeles. LA County Library’s Diaper and Hygiene Kit Program continues to this day, so please feel free to participate.
