“In October of 2022 I posted a video to my TikTok account where I told my biggest secret. I looked straight into the camera and said, “What’s up, I can’t read!” I had no idea what effect, if any, this post would have. Well, as you might already know, the post went viral and so did my reading journey. I began reading LIVE on TikTok, making posts about books, visiting libraries, and getting support. As 2023 approached, I decided to go all in and commit to reading 100 books in 2023. It wasn’t easy but little by little I chipped away. Each book brought me new knowledge, skills, and confidence. As 2023 comes to a close and I approach my 100th book, I wanted to share with you 10 of my favorite books that I have read this past year. There are all different levels of reading, different topics, and varying themes. So, in no particular order, here are 10 of my favorites books I read in 2023.”
