What: Carson Library Open House Celebration
Who: Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell, 2nd District and Skye Patrick, LA County Library Director
When: Thursday, December 21, 1 – 3 pm; Program starts at 1 pm. Please note the Library will open at 1 pm that day.
Where: Carson Library, 151 E Carson St, Carson, CA 90745
Parking: Limited free parking is available in the Library parking lot. Additional parking is available along Carson Street and Carson Park.
Details: Second District Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell and LA County Library are thrilled to welcome the community to a special event celebrating the multimillion-dollar renovation of Carson Library. Join us on December 21 at 1 pm for a ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by an afternoon filled with fun activities and resources for the whole family, including:
- 1 pm: Outdoor ceremony, ribbon cutting, and Library opening
- 1:30 pm: La Brea Tar Pits Mobile Museum
- 1:30 pm: Resources from LA County Partners, including Laptop Giveaway for those who qualify
- 1:30 – 4:30 pm: 360 Photobooth and Bubbleologist
- 3 – 4 pm: Found Object Juggling Show with Michael Rayner
