Library History

In order to serve the outlying schools of the Santa Clarita Valley, the Newhall Mobilibrary, as it was then known, was founded in August 1958. As schools began to incorporate libraries within their facilities, the bookmobile service shifted to serve the new housing developments. Currently, the bookmobile serves the populations of Littlerock, Pearblossom, Llano, and East Lancaster.
At 27 feet in length, the bookmobile can accommodate 2,500 titles or more.
