On Wednesday, January 20, 2021, Joseph R. Biden was sworn in as the 46th president of the United States and Kamala Harris was sworn in as vice president.

Harris, from Oakland California, is noteworthy as she is the first female, first African American, and first Asian American vice president in United States history. She served as Attorney General of California from 2011-2017 and served as the junior senator of California from 2017-2021.
