Teens Create Month

What is Teens Create Month?

Your teen years are packed with opportunities to be creative, and during the month of March, LA County Library celebrates your creative inspiration with Teens Create Month!

Explore your artistic talent by drawing, painting, taking photographs, creating your own movie, or performing for friends and family. You can also try your hand at creative writing, poetry, or even drafting your own graphic novel or zine.

Hone your creative problem-solving skills by identifying challenges in your community and finding new ways to tackle them. This month is all about YOU and the things you can do!

Check out our booklist for Teens Create Month featuring creative teen protagonists as well as advice for letting your creativity flow, from TikTok to crafting.

And don’t forget to visit our libraries for fun programs!

What specific programs can I check out?

Check out the creative tutorial videos below to kick-start some fun projects. In addition, we have some great programs happening at our libraries throughout March:

Attend a Clay Forming class at many of our libraries to design a masterpiece out of modeling clay, and learn about the history of clay. On Tuesday, March 21 at South El Monte Library, create and decorate your own do-it-yourself book bag. On Wednesday, March 29, at Lancaster Library, learn how to make foam collagraph prints by making a collage on a surface coated with ink or paint, then transferring to paper.

Please see below for more details and registration info for these and other great events at LA County Library.
