Support Your LA County Library
Enrich Lives and Communities Across Los Angeles
Support your library through volunteering, donating, and becoming a friend.
BECOME A VOLUNTEER
Volunteering is vital to the health of your library and your community, and your support enhances the delivery of much needed library services for youth and adults. You will also gain skills and knowledge that will help in your professional career and your personal life. If you’re a student, you can gain school service credit and a valuable job experience. Different libraries have different volunteer opportunities available.
JOIN A FRIENDS GROUP
Many LA County Library locations have a Friends of the Library group that helps with programming, supplies, and collections through book sales and other fundraising activities. The Friends of the Library are specified non-profit groups that are dedicated to supporting a specific library or libraries. Friends groups are advocates and ambassadors for the Library and are instrumental in keeping the Library and communities connected.
DONATE TO LA COUNTY LIBRARY FOUNDATION
LA County Library Foundation raises funds and creates partnerships to support LA County Library and the millions of children, teens, and adults whose lives it enriches with free programs, services, and resources. Public dollars don’t cover all the Library’s costs for the services it provides. The Library Foundation works to bridge that funding gap with gifts from private sources, including foundations, corporations, and individuals.
