Street Vending
LA County Library has Partnered with the Department of Economic Opportunity to Help You Become a Successful Street Vendor.
Are you interested in becoming a street vendor in Los Angeles County? The process to acquire a license can seem complicated but we’ve gathered some information to help guide you through the many important steps.
The Safe Sidewalk Vending Act (SB 946) was passed in 2019 to decriminalize street vending throughout the State of California. It allows local authorities to develop guidelines and infrastructure to formalize the street vending industry. We want to help you better understand those guidelines, and to aid in your success as a street vendor in Los Angeles County.
The DEO is hosting select informational sessions at some LA County Library locations. Potential sidewalk vendors can learn how to start up and thrive, while also ensuring safe and healthy communities through compliant sidewalk vending operations. Events will be posted on this page as they a scheduled.
