We at LA County Library would like to express heartfelt gratitude and thanks to our volunteers for their generous support.

Libraries provide the energy that fuels the imagination; our volunteers open windows to the world and inspire us to explore, achieve, and contribute to improving our quality of life.  We thank all of you for your continual support, contribution, enthusiasm, dedication,  and passion that help us remain steadfast and purposefully driven with making a difference in the lives of others.

Our dedicated volunteers are an integral part of LA County Library and are from all ages, backgrounds, skill sets, and phases of life. They assist library staff to extend the services and programs the Library can offer to the public. Our customers’ library experiences are much more enhanced because of the hundreds of volunteers who donate their time. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities, from helping to clean and sort library materials and setting up displays, to providing computer and printing support to library customers. Friends of the Library are people who share a passion for reading, a love for their community, and a strong appreciation of libraries. They are interested in promoting awareness of the library within their communities. Friends of the Library support their local LA County Library location in many ways, including holding fundraising events, like book sales, sponsoring and staffing library events, and helping recruit volunteers.

And the LA County Library Foundation is dedicated to supporting LA County Library and meeting the changing and expanding needs of the communities we serve. They help fund priority projects like Cultural Resource Centers, Family Place, Homework Help, and more. Foundation donors provide many of the funds that allow the Foundation to support our work.
