Summer Discovery Program
Join our summer celebration of reading and exploration and log books, complete fun activities, earn badges, and be entered to win prizes! Participate online or in person at any of our libraries, starting June 2.
Summer Stars Tutoring
We are here to support a summer of growth, learning, and success with our free Summer Stars Tutoring Program. This summer, students in grades 1 – 6 can get free in-person tutoring for reading and math at many of our libraries, starting June 17.
Lunch at the Library
Starting June 16, kids and teens 18 and under can enjoy free lunch at select libraries. Meals must be eaten in person and are available while supplies last from 12 – 1 pm, either Mon – Fri or Tue – Fri, depending on the location.

Celebrate Pride Month with LA County Library! Join us at the WeHo Pride Parade, visit us online, or stop by a location to check out all the vibrant array of events, activities, and resources to help you celebrate LGBTQ+ voices and experiences.

Join LA County Library in commemorating Juneteenth! Explore our resources and discover a rich collection of activities, inspiring books, and insightful programs that honor this moment in history.
Gun Violence Awareness Month
In partnership with the Office of Violence Prevention, we’ve handed out more than 860 free gun locks. Visit one of 6 Tool Lending Library locations to get a free gun lock. No questions asked, no ID required.
Summer Programs
We have great in-person events for all ages coming up at our libraries, including magic and puppet shows, cooking demos, arts and crafts workshops, and more. Filter our calendar by location or age.
