One Book, One County
The largest book club in L.A. starts June 1! Join us and library systems across the County to read and discuss L.A. Weather by María Amparo Escandón, available instantly as an eBook and audiobook in the Libby app.
Summer Discovery Program
Join our celebration of reading and exploration for all ages! Earn the chance to win prizes and help us log 50,000 books. Participate online or in person at any of our libraries, starting June 1.
Lunch at the Library
Starting June 17, kids and teens 18 and under can enjoy FREE lunch at select libraries. Meals must be eaten in person and are available while supplies last from 12 – 1 pm, either Mon – Fri or Tue – Fri, depending on the location.
Summer Stars Tutoring
Does your 1st-6th grader need extra help with reading or math? We’re offering in-person tutoring sessions at many of our libraries this summer, subject to availability. Submit an interest form today!
Celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride

Summer Programs
On May 23 at 6 pm, enjoy a chat with literary rising star, Vanessa Chan, author of The Storm We Made. This critically-acclaimed novel follows a mother and her children as they confront colonial power in Malaya (now Malaysia) during World War II.
Juneteenth
Juneteenth is a day to celebrate and create a greater understanding of Black freedom. Learn about the history of the holiday with booklists and events or visit our Black Resource Center at A C Bilbrew Library.
Gun Violence Awareness Month
We are partnering with the Office of Violence Prevention to raise awareness about gun violence. Learn how to obtain free gun locks at our 5 Tool Lending Library locations.
