Bookmark Contest
Calling all creative kids & teens!
Young people from kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to celebrate books, reading, and art by participating in our 45th Annual Bookmark Contest!
Starting August 19, 2024, and until October 5, 2024, we’re looking for drawings, paintings, and designs from all ages that celebrate books, reading, libraries, or whatever you’d like to create!
Contest Information
Participants will compete in the following categories for a chance to see their designs featured at their local library and across LA County.
- Kindergarten – Grade 2
- Grades 3 – 5
- Grades 6 – 8
- Grades 9 – 12
Be creative and have fun! Please use your original creations (no copyrighted cartoon characters). Artists must reside in LA County to compete. One entry per person. All entries become the property of LA County Library.
The deadline for submissions is October 5, 2024.
Each library will announce a local winner in each grade level category in November. Grand prize winners for each LA County supervisorial district will be selected by the Board of Supervisors in the spring; these 20 winning designs will be made into bookmarks, available across all our libraries in 2025.
