What does the future of Latine storytelling look like in Los Angeles and beyond, and how did our past lead us here? Join Chicano Resource Center Librarian Daniel Hernandez for a moderated conversation with Erick Galindo, Adolfo Guzman-Lopez, and Patricia Nazario as they discuss the state of Latine storytelling and what the future holds.
Stick around after the panel! Patricia Nazario and Adolfo Guzman-Lopez will have dedicated tables to promote and sign their latest books and films.

Kick off the celebration with your own voice. We invite local writers, poets, and community members to share their stories, poetry, and reflections on what East LA and Chicano culture mean to them.
Family Fun: Paletero Man Storytime & Craft
Time: 1 pm
Location: Children’s Room
Bring the little ones for a vibrant bilingual reading of the beloved book Paletero Man. Following the story, kids will dive into a hands-on art craft creating their very own paper paletas using colorful stickers, paper, and faux sprinkles.
