Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by creating your own Yarn Painting (Nierikas) inspired by the art of the Huichol. Descendants of the Aztec, the Huichol people number about 18,000, and mostly live in the sierra of Jalisco and Nayarit, Mexico. Traditionally made from tree resin and beeswax, you’ll make your own with colorful cotton yarn and glue.

Celebre el Mes de la Herencia Hispana creando su propia pintura de hilo (Nierikas) inspirada en el arte de los huicholes. Los descendientes de los aztecas, los huicholes, son unos 18,000 y viven principalmente en la sierra de Jalisco y Nayarit, México. Tradicionalmente hecho de resina de árbol y cera de abejas, harás el tuyo con coloridos hilos de algodón y pegamento.
