Event Details

Celebrate Black History Month with musician Makinto as he explains the history of the United States through the evolution of black music. Makinto uses costume changes and live musical examples played on a variety of musical instruments to illustrate the challenges and changes that have occurred in the history of the African American battle for equality from African roots to salvery, emancipation, awakening, and the civil rights movement to modern times.
