The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. For married individuals filing jointly, both parties must be present. Assistance is provided on a first come, first served basis.
Please bring the following with you:
*Proof of identification (photo id)
*All wage and earning statements (Form W-2, W-2G, 1099-R, 1099-Misc) from all employers
*Forms 1095-1, B and C, Affordable Health Care Statements
*A copy of last year’s federal and state returns
*Proof of account for direct deposit of return (ex. voided check)
*Social security cards for all individuals being claimed
For ages 18 and up.
