File Your Tax Return for Free! The VITA program offers free tax help to people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. You can have your federal and state tax returns prepared and electronically filed for free by an IRS certified Cal Poly Pomona volunteer. For a married-filing-joint-return, both spouses must be present. Assistance will be provided on a first-come, first served basis.

Please bring the following to the event:

• Proof of identification (photo ID)
• Forms 1095-A, B and C, Affordable Health Care Statements
• Wage and earning statements, (Form W-2, W-2G, 1099-R, 1099-Misc) from all employers
• Social Security cards or individual taxpayer identification cards/notices for anyone listed on the return
• A copy of last year’s federal and state returns
• Proof of bank account for direct deposit of refund, such as a voided check
