The celebrated Topanga Actors Company presents a staged reading of Tennessee Williams’ final full-length play. It is Christmas 1982, and Cornelius and Bella McCorkle of Pascagoula, Mississippi have just buried their older son. Their house is falling apart. So are their lives. Questions abound: Will Cornelius get his hands on the legendary Dancie fortune? Will scheming Jessie Sykes defeat her husband Emerson? How might the McCorkles’ son Charlie and his pregnant holy-roller girlfriend survive the maelstrom? Williams called his play “A Gothic Comedy”.
