Event Details

To honor Native American Heritage Month, we are hosting Elder and the Cultural Affairs Officer for the Gabrielino/Tongva Band of Mission Indians Julia Bogany. Ms. Bogany teaches Tongva language and cultural classes. She has helped to reawaken and revive the Tongva language, as well as assemble a Tongva dictionary. She is Vice President of the Keepers of Indigenous Ways (KIW), a non-profit group of the Tongva. Come and learn about Topanga’s first residents!

For adults.
