Event Details

Christopher Nyerges from the School of Self-Reliance will share some of the native and non-native plants that grow all around us, and describe their traditional uses.  You will see the actual plants, and some slide images.  Mr. Nyerges has been teaching the uses of wild plants for many years, and has written “Foraging California,” “Guide to Wild foods and Useful Plants,” “Nuts and Berries of California,” and other books,  which will be available at the talk.
You’re welcome to bring plants to the talk for identification.
For ages 14 and up.
