Happy Chinese New Year! To get ready for this happy celebration we will be decorating a Bolang Gu (波浪鼓；pinyin: bo lang gu) which is an instrument that dates back to ancient China. You might have also heard it called a monkey drum, a pellet drum or even a drum rattle. Come and join us at the library and embellish your very own inventive percussion instrument while learning about traditions and customs associated with Chinese New Year celebrations.
