We will honor the past and the present with a journey across the continent including traditional songs and stories, and how we maintain our cultural connections today.  What does “Mitakuye Oyasin” mean? How do California Indian cultures differ from those we see popularized in the media?  These creation stories from Hupa, Osage, Cherokee, Pomo, Chumash, Tongva, and Algonquin tribes offer humor, guidance and a sense of relationship. That relationship extends beyond our human family to the land, the air, the water, our place among the stars.  This family friendly presentation welcomes everyone.
