Legendary police detective Dick Tracy (Warren Beatty) takes on gangster boss Big Boy Caprice (Al Pacino) and his band of menacing mobsters. Dedicated to his work but also devoted to his loyal girlfriend, Tess Trueheart (Glenne Headley), Tracy finds himself torn between love and duty.
