Jake and Tony, two middle-school boys from one-child households, form a natural friendship when Jake’s family moves into his deceased grandfather’s apartment, above the dress shop business of Tony’s mother. Extrovert Tony plays soccer, wants to be an actor, and is sociable while introvert Jake likes to draw, build his portfolio, and tends to be reclusive.
