The Lambda Literary Book Club meets the last Monday of each month (except December, and during 2020, March and May) in the Community Meeting Room at West Hollywood Library and highlights a heady mix of LGBT classics, unheralded gems, and new releases.

January’s selection is Let the Whole Thundering World Come Home by Natalie Goldberg.

Excerpt from Publishers Weekly review:
“[Natalie] Goldberg shares the story of her battle with cancer… [struggling] to make sense of her suddenly conspicuous mortality… In emotionally intense prose, Goldberg skillfully portrays the sorrow that can invade with cancer [and] holds to the teachings of Zen: pay attention to this moment, savor every experience, and live life in full bloom with vigor and gusto.”
