Event Details

Make, explore and learn about art with the entire family. Workshops are led by teaching artists from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). Each series is drop in, you may attend one class, or all in the series.

The workshop for this month will explore African art in celebration of Black History month. Learn about ancient Egyptian jewelry and motifs through experimentation with paper, color, and texture. Participants focus on the fundamentals of jewelry using a variety of materials to create a unique work of art. For ages 5 and up.
Children 13 and under must be accompanied by a caregiver.
Art Programs with the Community: LACMA On-Site is made possible through the Anna H. Bing Children’s Art Endowment Fund. Additional support is provided by the Dwight Stuart Youth Fund, Dr. Stanley Wachs and Lisa Moriyama, the Louis and Harold Price Foundation, the Goodwin Family Memorial Trust, The Employees Community Fund (ECF) of Boeing California, the Dryan-Felson Family, and the Ducommun and Gross Family Foundation.
