Event Details

It’s Hispanic Heritage Month! Make your own yarn painting (Nierikas) inspired by the artwork of the Huichol/Wixaitari people of Mexico. They are descendants of the Aztec who live in the Sierra of Jalisco and Nayarit, Mexico. The colorful paintings are made with bright yarn held in place with glue. Hispanic Heritage Month recognizes and celebrates the culture, contributions, and heritage of Hispanic Americans and is observed from September 15 to October 15.
