Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by creating your own Fiesta Paper Flowers. Paper flowers have been used as religious and secular decorations going back to the 1800s. Made out of tissue or crepe paper, they go beyond the utilitarian craft and become pieces of folk art representing the soul and culture of the artisans that make them. Paper flowers are used to decorate parties, weddings, and religious celebrations often substituting for natural flowers. Hispanic Heritage Month recognizes and celebrates the culture, contributions, and heritage of Hispanic Americans and is observed from September 15 to October 15. Join us and make your own colorful paper flowers.
For ages 12 – 18.
