Join us for a screening of Our Spirits Don’t Speak English: Indian Boarding School. This documentary focuses on Indian boarding schools, how Native children were forcibly removed from their families during 1879 – 1960s and taken to assimilate to mainstream culture. The goal was to “Kill the Indian, Save the Man” and to destroy Indian culture and tribal unity.
