Renowned South African comic, Trevor Noah was born to a black African mother and white Swedish father, effectively violating the Immorality Act of 1927 which outlawed interracial relationships. This is the story of a post-apartheid South Africa where Noah experience some privileges but his formative years were shaped by poverty, injustice, and violence.  Read this for a fresh perspective for Black History Month.
