In January, the Pico Rivera Library Book Club will be reading Agatha Christie’s third Hercule Poirot novel, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. In this critically acclaimed novel, famous detective Hercule Poirot retires to a village to pursue vegetable gardening. However, the murder of an old friend brings him out of retirement to find the killer when everyone has a motive for murder. This novel is considered one of Christie’s best known and controversial novels, due to its innovative, twisted ending.
