Event Details

For the month of November, the book club will be reading and discussing There There by Tommy Orange and also having a conversation about Native American literature.

On Saturday, 11/30/2019, book club will be followed by an Art for Adults activity: Celebrate Native American Heritage Month at the library by creating a corn husk doll. Corn plays a major role in both food and religious aspects of Native cultures in the Americas. These dolls were made by a number of indigenous groups across the Americas, and are still made in various Nations all over the United States. Art for Adults, Saturday 11/30/2019, 1:15 – 2:15 pm.
