For our September book club, we will be discussing Paul Beatty’s The Sellout.
The first American novel to win the prestigious Man Booker Prize, The Sellout is a searing, tragic, comic look at racism in modern America. Set in a fictional Los Angeles community, it challenges the sacred tenets of the United States Constitution, urban life, the civil rights movement, and the father-son relationship.
Pick up the book at the circulation desk, and come join us for a lively discussion!
