For our first book club of the new year, we will be discussing Marlon James’ Black Leopard, Red Wolf.

Billed as an African Game of Thrones, James, winner of the 2015 Man Booker Prize, creates a fantasy Africa inhabited by witches, monsters, shape-shifters, were-creatures, and other strange magic. The search for a missing boy leads the characters into the middle of a political power struggle, where telling friend from foe can mean the difference between life and death. This is the first book in a new series, The Dark Star Trilogy.
