Event Details

Celebrate Black History Month by learning about the Underground Railroad and Quilt Codes. It is believed secret codes and symbols were sewn into quilts and used as visual maps to assist fugitive slaves in their escape to freedom. You’ll create your own Log Cabin quilt design using colorful paper. Black History Month recognizes, celebrates, and honors the rich and diverse history and important contributions and achievements of African Americans, and is observed annually during the month of February. Ages 18 and older.
Celebre el mes de la historia afromericana aprendiendo la historia del ferrocarril subterráneo y el código de las colchas. Se cree que símbolos y un Código secreto fueron cosidos en las colochas que se usaron como mapas para assistir  a los esclavos fugitivos. Usted creará su propia colcha de cabaña usano papel de color. El mes de la historia afromericana reconoce, celebra y honra las importantes contribuciones, logors y diversa historia de los aframericans, se celebra anualmente en el mes de febrero.
