Event Details

Teens and tweens, celebrate Black History Month with us and create an abstract painting  using bold colors, strong brush strokes, and pencil lines just like the paintings of famous African American abstract painter Alma Woodsey Thomas.
Alma Woodsey Thomas developed her signature style – large, abstract paintings filled with patterns of bright colors—in her 70s. She was the first African American artist to have a show at the famous Whitney Museum in New York.
For ages 12 – 18
