Let’s form a beekeeping community! To gauge interest in a new club, we are hosting local apiarist Dorothy Comeau to advise beekeeping newcomers and gather other longtime enthusiasts with an informational meeting on the importance of cultivating bees and other pollinators and a practical demonstration of some of the equipment used by beekeepers. Bees pollinate about one-sixth of the flowering plant species worldwide and 400 different agricultural types of plant. Honey bees produce or collect a variety of products that benefit people. These products include honey, beeswax, pollen, royal jelly, and propolis. Get started on a hobby, or career, with a purpose.
