Leora O’Carroll will speak about her mother’s life and the memoir they wrote together. A Musical Memoir of an Irish Immigrant Childhood tells the story of Maureen O’Carroll’s life in a bustling, musical Irish immigrant family in Sydney, Australia. They lived through challenging times, including the Great Depression and World War II. Maureen became an acclaimed cellist. Join us to learn about this fascinating immigrant family directly from Maureen’s daughter Leora.
