LA Dodgers Storytime
It’s Time for Dodgers Storytime!
Attention, Dodgers baseball fans! Los Angeles Dodgers Alumni are back to help promote reading by hosting 10 Storytime events at LA County Library locations. In an effort to encourage youth to read and attend library programming, Dodgers Alumni will host a Storytime, give autographs, and take photos with participants.
To get children excited about reading, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation partnered with the Los Angeles Dodgers to launch LA Reads in 2017 and motivate youth to build a lifelong love of reading. Children that participate in LA Reads are considered Dodgers Reading Champions! In 2018 there were over 5,000 Dodgers Reading Champions registered, representing 905 schools, who read 1,233,135 minutes.
Parents and children can to track the time they spend reading every day online for a chance to win cool incentives such as attending Dodgers’ batting practice, tickets to the game, and even getting recognized on the field before the game!
If you have a child in grades 1 – 8, and want to sign up to become a Dodgers Reading Champion, visit Dodgers.com/LAReads.
