Make the Most Use of Our Libraries

It’s almost back-to-school time, and students of all ages will return to classrooms ready to re-engage with curriculum, classmates, and teachers.

As the school year nears and the summer ends, here are some tips for students to make the most of the many resources we offer.

With more school materials heading online, there are many households that do not have internet at home.  Students and adults can use our library computers or Wi-Fi to complete homework assignments, and print homework using 10 free pages a day.

Homework help is available at our Homework Centers, or online via a live tutor from 3 – 10 pm. Students can also get test-prep resources for SAT, ACT, and more.

Ask a Librarian to help pick a fun book for a book report, or find the right resources for an upcoming project. Or check out our digital library options for students, eBooks and audiobooks in the OverDrive Kids and Teen collections.

After school, students can take a break from studying to attend a program, like one of MakMo’s STEAM activities, check out educational videos on Kanopy, or practice reading with a furry friend or a reading buddy.

We’re here for you. Wishing everyone a great new school year!
