Celebrate Arab American Heritage Month

Can you tell me about National Arab American Heritage Month?

During the month of April, LA County Library, along with the Arab America Foundation, is celebrating the achievements of Arab Americans through the celebration of National Arab American Heritage Month (NAAHM).

Across the United States, cultural institutions, school districts, municipalities, state legislatures, public servants, non-profit organizations, and LA County Library are engaging in special events that celebrate Arab Americans’ rich heritage, culture and contributions to our nation.

Arab America and the Arab America Foundation launched the National Arab American Heritage Month initiative in 2017, with just a handful of states recognizing the initiative. Now, it is truly a nation-wide celebration!

How is LA County Library observing NAAHM?

We are holding events throughout April to observe National Arab American Heritage Month.

Paragraph here about events.

And these are just a sampling of all the great events we’re hosting for NAAHM. Please see below for more details and registration info for these and other great events at your LA County Library.

In addition, we have an Arab American Heritage Booklist [LINK TBD] with numerous titles on the centuries-old history and culture of Arabs inside and outside America.
