Nov/Dec 2017 Collection Spotlight

Here are some great titles for your reading and listening pleasure as selected by the staff of Collection Development Services. Selections include children’s picture books and fiction about counting and the four seasons, a fox attempting to solve the missing apple mystery, and a fairy/vampire girl trying to determine which school she should attend. Nonfiction for kids include graphic novels about a young girl traveling to India with her Pashmina and a young boy raised by witches; and an illustrated book featuring World War I ships. Our a/v selections include music for the holiday season. Teen fiction selections include the story of Princess Leia joining the Rebellion and about a pregnant teen learning of her baby’s heart defect. Adult fiction titles take a look at solving a murder in a small town and an insightful and poignant holiday novella. Adult nonfiction titles reveal never before seen Bukowski’s poetry, how to build effective relationships at work, and an author in search of his family tree. Spanish Nonfiction titles include Pablo Neruda’s poetry odes and the history of Yellowstone National Park.
