American Sign Language for the Family

Did you know that nearly 10,000,000 persons are Hard of Hearing and that close to 1,000,000 are functionally deaf??  Do you know someone who is part of the Deaf Community?  Join us as we continue to learn about the Deaf Community and how to better communicate with them through American Sign Language at the Live Oak Library EVERY Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m.

It is never too late to begin!

The class is hosted by Librarian, Denise Dilley, who is Hard of Hearing.  The class is initially taught using videos that are made available for instruction on the website ASLUniversity.com and presented by Dr. Bill Vicars.  Group practice and review follow each lesson.

This class is for ages 5-up.
